Elvin J. Fields
Elvin J. Fields is the Founder and Senior Instructor of EF East Coast Defense, a security training company specializing in soft hand tactics. His training in soft hand tactics, which is based on reasonable and justifiable amounts of force, spans from the United State to China. Mr. Fields’ certifications include Executive Protection, Armed/Unarmed Security, Corrections, First Response and Emergency Management.Mr. Fields has a diversified tactical background which includes a 5th degree in Neko-Ryu Goshin Jitsu and a Second Degree Black Belt in Judo. He was promoted from white belt to black belt simultaneously in both arts after winning the USSJA Jujitsu Nationals in 1999. Mr. Fields also won first place at the sports Jujitsu Nationals in 2000.
As a member of an international training group, his training in soft hand tactics spans from the United States to China. This technique, which is based on reasonable and justifiable amounts of force, was demonstrated by Mr. Fields, in an unprecedented exhibition in China in 2004.
